Journal moderation

Open Content → Journal Moderation to review entries across journals and cohorts.

Review content

  1. Find the entry using the available filters.
  2. Review the writing and media in context.
  3. Use the relevant moderation action for the problem.
  4. Check the resulting status and visible feed where appropriate.

Moderators can see content that learners and the public cannot. Do not infer public availability just because an entry appears in this screen.

Hide, restore, or purge

Hide removes an entry from feeds while keeping it available for staff review. Restore to feed reverses hiding, subject to the entry’s existing visibility rules. Purging is a destructive removal action; inspect its confirmation before proceeding.

Individual media can also be moderated where supported. Use the narrowest action that addresses the problem and follow your organisation’s moderation process.

Public content

Public feeds require public visibility at both the journal and entry level. Documents can be downloadable from a public feed. Hiding an entry prevents future display in these feeds, but cannot recall copies someone has already downloaded.

See Journal visibility for the sharing model.
